Opel Performance in Auto Show

Drivers of Opel Performance who won the title for 2006 Turkish Gulf Track Championship as a team were present at the fair Auto Show in order to attend the autograph session. The session organized by General Motors Turkey was held at the OPC stand of Opel. Opel drivers were the center of attention of the visitors and they signed thousands of team posters and caps.

This year the Istanbul Auto Show had an international character for the first time and hundreds of models of nearly 40 brands were displayed at the fair. The fair was held in an area of 110 thousand square meters in 8 different galleries. The new Opel Astra Sedan made its world-wide debut in Istanbul. The perfect organization of the General Motors included both the introduction of this model and the meeting of the champion pilots of Opel with visitors.

Yüksel Erdemir, the chairman of the executive committee of OMS also attended the autograph session. Enis Alpsoy, the Team Director stated that they have ended the year as planned and become champion and added that they were so pleased that they have reached all the goals they set at the beginning of the year. Opel drivers who have discussed the year 2006 with car fans and members of press at the autograph session held at the Auto Show stated that their objective for 2007 is to keep staying at the summit.
